The hotel
In 1930, in the heart of San Martino di Lota, a village with stone-tiled roofs at the entrance to Cap Corse, Anne-Françoise and Robert Anziani managed a small inn which also served as a cafe, grocery and bakery. It was a meeting place for villagers and inhabitants of Bastia would go to have something to eat in the cool shade of the plane trees. La Corniche overlooks the valley and the sea whilst looking to the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago to the east. Four years later the Anziani family decided to create twelve rooms. The first holidaymakers arrived and very quickly La Corniche became the subject of conversation as a place that stood apart, where family joy, true friendship and authentic cuisine mingled.
Over the years, the children and grandchildren transformed the small inn into a charming hotel and added a restaurant: one of the best tables in the region. The establishment has twenty rooms, a swimming pool, lounge, meeting room and wine cellar and has developed and expanded its client base whilst maintaining the calm and authenticity.
On the large shaded terrace, which has an exceptional view, you can enjoy refined cuisine that honours the wonderful island territory produce.
La Corniche calmly combines its charm, friendliness and Corsican identity underneath the serene strength of the one-hundred-year-old oak and plane trees.More Photo
